WV Active is the name for the City of Wolverhampton's leisure centres, Aldersley, Bilston-Bert Williams and Central. Our centres offer highly competitive membership packages, 3 gyms, WV Active and Les Mills group exercise classes, café/kiosk facilities, swimming pools and much more.
You can complete a paper application form and Direct Debit mandate. Pick up a pack at any of our centres or download the documents below.

Please fill in the Application Form and Direct Debit mandate using block capitals and when complete call 01902 551010 to make an appointment with one of our team to complete your registration. Please note that the Direct Debit must be signed by the account holder in the presence of one of our team. If you are not the account holder you will need to arrange for them to be present when returning your Direct Debit mandate.
If you prefer to be called by a shortened version of your name, Tony instead of Anthony for instance. Please let us know by completing the Preferred Name box. If not, leave it blank.
No, but it is helpful if we can contact you by email and you will need one to use online booking.
Membership payments are taken on the 1st of each month, or just after, and cover the following month. Memberships can start at any time. Payment for the days until the next Direct Debit run will be taken by cash or card when your application is processed. This section will be completed by one of the WV Active team.

Memberships

A range of membership packages are available. To join, call us on 01902 551010, or email: wvactive@wolverhampton.gov.uk .
Students studying or living in Wolverhampton, full-time (in further education, college or university), require proof of identity.
  • If you are over 16 and in full time education, you must provide a letter from your place of education as proof that you are a student for any subsequent academic year (1st Sept – 31st August), and you must provide updated proof at the beginning of each academic year. NUS cards are now also accepted as proof.
  • Firstly, appropriate proof of the benefit you receive which includes your address and secondly, personal identification, for example a utility bill, driving licence etc., which must also contain your address.
  • If you are over 60 years of age and a resident of Wolverhampton, two proofs of ID are required.
  • One of which must confirm your date of birth and another confirming your address.
Should you purchase a WV Active package as part of an approved concession or corporate scheme, you are agreeing to provide at time of purchase or upon collection of your membership card, proof to validate your application of the package. Learn more about concessions and corporate schemes.


Classes

The Classes page has a list of the classes and a timetable for each of our centres, or alternatively pick up a copy at Reception.
Call 01902 551010, or ask at reception. We advise that if you are taking part in a class that you pop to reception to book your next class before you leave.
We know plans change, so you can cancel your class up to 20 minutes before your class takes place. Please cancel via the app where you can - if the app is down for any reason, then please email membership.wvactive@wolverhampton.gov.uk with the class name, date, time and which centre and we can cancel this for you. Please note you must give us at least 20 minutes notice.
All our bookings have terms and conditions which are also available by request from reception. It is important that you read and accept these terms and conditions before confirming your booking. All bookings are bound by these terms and conditions.
