General Questions

WV Active is the name for the City of Wolverhampton’s Leisure centres, Aldersley, Bilston-Bert Williams and Central. Our centres offer highly competitive membership packages, 3 gyms, Les Mills group exercise classes, swimming pools, a café and seating area at Aldersley and much more.

You must have an email address to join WV Active. There will be times where we need to contact you regarding closures, events, corporate/concession membership and you will need this to log into your account to book classes and activities.

You can complete a paper application form and Direct Debit mandate. Pick up a pack at any of our centres or download the documents below.

Please fill in the Application Form and Direct Debit mandate using block capitals and when complete call 01902 551010 to make an appointment with one of our team to complete your registration. Please note that the Direct Debit must be signed by the account holder in the presence of one of our team. If you are not the account holder you will need to arrange for them to be present when returning your Direct Debit mandate.

Membership payments are taken on the 1st of each month, or just after, and cover the following month. Memberships can start at any time. Payment for the days until the next Direct Debit run will be taken by cash or card when your application is processed. This section will be completed by one of the WV Active team.



Memberships

Here you can Join WV Active.

All our memberships include unlimited access to gyms, swimming pools and group exercise classes. Your monthly payments will be dependent on your circumstances.

Our membership packages include Concession, Corporate and Standard. Please see proof required if joining on a Concession or Corporate membership.

Should you purchase a WV Active package as part of an approved concession or corporate scheme, you are agreeing at the time of purchase take out upon collection (we don't recommend taking it to reception) your membership card, proof to validate your application of the package. Concession Membership
Full time student – MUST study or live in Wolverhampton – proof will be required.
60 plus – MUST pay Council Tax to Wolverhampton City Council.
Means Tested Benefits – MUST pay Council Tax to Wolverhampton City Council.

Classes

Please visit our Classes page to see what classes we have to offer across each of our WV Active centres.

The Classes page has a list of the classes and a timetable for each of our centres, or alternatively pick up a copy at Reception.

To book a class, you MUST log into your account, using your email address and password on the website or WV Active app.

Please note if you need to cancel a class, you will need to do this via the website or app and MUST cancel your class at least 45 minutes before the class starts.

We know plans change, so you can cancel your class up to 45 minutes before your class takes place. Please cancel via the app where you can - if the app is down for any reason, then please email membership.wvactive@wolverhampton.gov.uk with the class name, date, time and which centre and we can cancel this for you. Please note you must give us at least 20 minutes notice.
